Dont waste your money until this app is fixed.

Launch.....Crash. I habe tried it about 40 times now, and it does nothong but crash. Can I get my $1.99 back, please?!

This App has never worked. The developers have nerve selling this crap and AFP should be embarrassed having their name on it

Only thing that works are the photos. Every attempt to load text content crashes. Buyers beware!

No social media support, NO RETINA DISPLAY, slow, crashes a lot. Doesnt AFPs F stand for French? And no French news available in app? Great quality content, but poor packaging makes this app really disappointing.

What was 5 stars would have been 2 had I not tested a theory. For anyone experiencing crashes on section change after installing this latest update, try completely uninstalling then reinstalling the app. I have seen this happen before in other app releases. Sometimes the developer knows and sometimes not. In any case after this my app seems completely stable. Afp loses one star for being troublesome. Ill give it back on next update if it is smooth. I concur with the other reviewers on the question of how afp can produce an app with several language options EXLUDING French. This is ridiculous!

The design is ugly, the font for article text is difficult to read, the interface is slow and buggy, and there are spelling errors. AFP could really use to spend a little time and money improving this service. By comparison, Reuters and the AP each have beautiful applications that are a pleasure to use.

The app needs an update, its still stuck in ios 6 and it just doesnt feel very streamlined. Good enough, but it could be better.

AFP (Agence France-Presse) has some of the best reporters around the world, reporting in English, not just French. This app, like many news apps, has sections for world news, sports, etc. This includes separate sections for news from 4 major world regions: North America, Middle East, Africa, and Asia -- but not Europe!! European stories only run if theyre big enough globally to make it into the world news section (or the sports, business, etc sections). You can choose from one of several languages (including English but not French). This app is also very buggy and sometimes seems to hang when opening. (Try deleting and reinstalling when this happens). This makes sense since the last update (v. 1.3) was over 16 months ago -- before iOS 7 (and even iOS 6.1). AFP should just clone the BBC app -- its got the best layout of any news app Ive used. Im giving this app 2 stars, not 1 only because of the great content that is available when the app works. AFP has some of the best reporters and editors in the world -- the iOS app developers have really let them down. French engineers design Airbus planes and some of the most advanced nuclear reactors and high speed trains in the world. This app, however, feels more like those awful French cars from the early 1980s.

This app is one of the biggest news agencies in the world and this is the best you guys can do? Your news delivery is excellent but you have forgotten the most important thing for a mobile app of your caliber...where are the push notifications for breaking news? Ive had this app for a couple of years and to be honest with you its time for a major overhaul guys.

Really enjoyed using the previous version but this release will not load on my iPhone. Crashes every time. Your reporting is great, this version of the app, not good.

The update (2.0) very bad

The latest version released in Sept 2014 requires both fast and slow presses. The user experience can be frustrating until you experiment. This version suffers from bad programming - but the content is great.

Earlier version of this app was great, really straightforward, easy to navigate. New one is clunky, slow to load, displays fewer news stories at a time, hard to browse. Just kind of a terrible update.

Love AFP content but the app wont load stories in most of the categories. When I click on one the sections it says "0 of 0" stories.

AFP files great quality reports daily; however this app is an abomination. Earlier version was a simple, consistent app; yet this version is rife with glitches. After a while I have to delete the app and reload it to my phone in order for it work; and still it only hobbles along until its completely unworkable again.

This app rates no stars. AFP has great material and some of the best reporting in the world, but what use is it if the app just gives you blank pages. If I were an AFP journalist, I would be insulted that all my hard work is being wasted on this non-functioning app. It must have been designed by the Russians since I cant seem to get any real news to display. Bring back the old app.

I loved the old app-hate this one. The user interface is awkward, slow, and never fully loads. Why sort articles by date when no articles load to sort? My iOS is up to date-so it must be your lame app! Why wont you fix it?
